Brief on Université Antonine

Université Antonine (UAn) is a private university in Lebanon, founded by the Antonine Maronite Order, present in Lebanon since the XVIIIth Century. 

 

Dedicated to developing the talents of men and women in the joy of truth, UAn leads them into acquiring knowledge and expertise, and helps them become qualified for the service of their society; all that under rigorous standards of excellence, integrity, ethics and respect for diversity. UAn also cultivates areal synergy between research, education and practical application.

 

Deeply committed to its Catholic identity while respecting all other confessions, UAn offers a wide range of specialties, in addition to combining international exchange programs and polyvalent professional internships.

 

The main campus of the University is located in Hadat-Baabda (in Greater Beirut), with two regional branches: in Zahlé (Bekaa), and in Mejdlaya-Zgharta (North Lebanon).

International affiliations: 

UAn seeks to reinforce constantly its educational system for human development in relation to globalization and the market needs.

In this respect, the University is establishing many partnerships and agreements with prestigious foreign universities in order to ensure cooperation programs in several sectors: exchange of professors and students, joint research, exchange of scientific and educative documents, joint programs of education and programs of double diploma. In addition to the partners listed below, UAn is currently working on establishing partnerships with universities in the US and Canada in the very near future. The University is affiliated with 16 universities in France, Belgium, Italy, Canada and China.

Université Antonine is interested and ready to participate in this project:

We think that, aside from being individually and institutionally available to participate in the different work packages, our faculty members selected to be involved in this project, have the profile that’s adds value to work, and the capacity to actively invest time and resources especially regarding
• Capacity building (getting trained and training experts) and develop a network of QA experts.
• Participate in development of QA components and indicators.
• Be part of commissions working with internal teams on self assessment and QA units building and QA implementation in Lebanese universities
• Receive teams of experts at Université Antonine and apply, with local structure, QA components regarding institutional and program evaluation.

Participate in the development QA components regarding different delivery modes including distance learning and e-learning
