Description
The link between Recognition, NQF, and QA was a topic of major concern. It related the concepts of quality to relevance, and both were crucial for enabling higher education to better serve its purpose. The issue was multifaceted and dealt with delicate matters such as finding the balance between present needs and future developments, improving the readability of degrees, and balancing the needs of local, regional, and international labour markets. NQF was a major tool in this regard. The ENIC-NARIC Network was another important mechanism providing transparent information that supported recognition both locally and internationally. This workpackage was central to the foundation of the project.
The work package reviewed the literature in this domain and proposed structures, channels for dialogue, and communication networks. The partners investigated how some of these structures could be implemented within the framework of the present project and what was necessary in terms of internal and external evaluation processes to better address those issues.
