Time Duration

Description
This work package aimed to define the standards and procedures for external quality assurance (QA) at the programmatic level. It began with a study of existing standards and guidelines in Europe and at the international level. The outcomes of WP1, WP2, and WP3 were also considered, together with the institutional standards and procedures of the previous TLQAA project.
As a satellite activity of the launching ceremony, several training seminars were organized on topics such as Learning Outcomes, Diploma Supplement, and Qualifications Frameworks. Following this, discussions began on the core standards and guidelines to be developed.
Based on these discussions, a first draft of core standards and procedures was proposed. This draft was simulated on several programme cases from the Lebanese partners’ institutions. The relevance of the programmes could be measured when mapped against a Qualifications Framework (QF). The first draft of the Lebanese QF was used for this purpose. The first draft of standards and procedures also had to comply with international regulations and standards, including the new ESG. It was submitted to different stakeholders nationwide, and a roundtable was organized to collect their comments and suggestions.
A new round of study and discussion, based on the comments collected, made it possible to finalize the set of standards and procedures that would be promoted in Lebanon and within regional and international QA agencies and networks.
