A study visit was organized in Lorraine, France, (17-18 October 2017) with participation of ULB and CIEP, to explore the work carried out by European partner institutions on the programme-based and competency-based approaches.

The visit aimed to collect and share relevant experiences, practices, and tools that can support the development of a guide for designing and developing academic programmes in line with the requirements of internal quality assurance systems. This guide is intended to serve the Lebanese university community and contribute to the enhancement of programme development practices in Lebanon.

Through study days and exchanges with European partners, the visit encouraged participants to reflect on key methodological aspects and to build a shared understanding of the essential steps needed to implement the programme-based approach within the Lebanese higher education context.
